Alexander Zverev has not gotten very warm with the ATP Cup in the past two years, the German number one only managed to win one of six singles played. With the 7: 6 (2) and 6: 1 a second success has now come. Which was important because Jan-Lennard Struff lost in his opening game against Daniel Evans with 1: 6 and 2: 6.
So it is a tie after the two singles. The outcome of the match between Germany and Great Britain is in the hands of the two pairs Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz on the one hand and Jamie Murray and Joe Salisbury on the other. The situation was similar a few weeks ago in the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup final tournament in Innsbruck. Krawietz / Pütz were able to prevail, but against Salisbury and Neal Skupski.
