One thing right away: This time Toni Nadal did not miss the meeting of his protégé Félix Auger-Aliassime with his nephew and ex-protégé Rafael. Uncle Toni took his place in the Canadian's box. And almost experienced a false start from Auger-Aliassime, who was able to turn around a 15:40 on his own serve.

The same scenario arose in the seventh game, again Nadal was unable to take advantage of two break chances. Auger-Aliassime, who qualified for the final of the eight best of the season for the first time, did a few moments better, taking a 5-3 lead with the first break of the match. And served safely to 6:3.

Nadal can't take chances

In the second set it was again Félix Auger-Aliassime who put the first pinprick, this time with the break to make it 2-1. Nadal had a chance to comeback at 2: 3, "FAA" fended off with a strong serve.

In the second game of the green group tonight, Sunday's winners will face each other: Taylor Fritz, who had defeated Rafael Nadal at the start. And Casper Ruud, who was able to put Félix Auger-Aliassime in his place.
