The Australian Open has long been number one in terms of innovation at Grand Slam tournaments. For example, while there is still no roof for the Center Court in Paris, three arenas in Melbourne are already equipped with a mobile roof.

The organizers have also come up with something for the 2020 edition. A 360-degree roof will be used on Court 3, which can provide shade for up to 3000 spectators.

At the Australian Open in particular, there have been real heat battles in the recent past, which not only pushed the players to their limits. With the new roof on Court 3, it has now been ensured that the spectators can fully concentrate on the matches. Things will get hot with them anyway.
