Cameron Norrie explained a few days ago that he has an unusually high lung capacity. And he would now also use it on the tennis court. Well, against Jiri Lehecka Norrie didn't use his stamina. The Briton, who had hopes of a deep murmur, lost 7: 6 (8), 3: 6, 6: 3, 1: 6 and 4: 6. For Lehecka, who was able to qualify for the #NextGen Masters last year, this means the first entry into the round of 16 of a Grand Slam tournament.
There the Czech meets Félix Auger-Aliassime. The Canadian managed without any major drama this time, beating Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo 6-1, 3-6, 6-1 and 6-4. In round two, Auger-Aliassime had to make up a 2-0 set deficit against Alex Molcan.
This was exactly what Jannik Sinner did against Marton Fucsovics in the first match of the day. After his comeback win, Sinner is now playing against Stefanos Tsitsipas, who had no problems with Tallon Griekspoor.
