A total funding of almost 45 million euros, two and a half million for the winners in the women's and men's singles and almost 60,000 euros for a first-round loss: The Australian Open in Melbourne (January 20 to February 2) has their prize money a total of 13.6 percent increased. With the exception of the four finalists in the individual, the first Grand Slam tournament of the year recorded a double-digit increase in prize money in each round.

The front-runner of the game of millions is the US Open in New York, where the equivalent of almost 52 million euros was distributed in September. At the French Open in Paris and Wimbledon, almost 43 million euros each were in the pot this year.
