While the start of the qualifying tournament for the Australian Open 2021 in Dubai (for the women) and in Doha (for the men) is still a few days away (starts on January 10th), Craig Tiley, the boss from Tennis Australia, reported on Twitter. And some details of the travel arrangements announced.

Up to 18 aircraft will bring the players and supervisors who will take part in the Australian Open 2021 and the preceding ATP Cup to Melbourne. This is necessary in order to comply with the prescribed safety regulations. The planes should be occupied with a maximum of 20 percent of their capacity.

Tiley also apologized to the participants for the delays in the announcement of the flight details. There is also the fact that one of the hotels that was intended for the quarantine of some players has withdrawn its willingness to accommodate participants due to feared protests from local residents.
