French Open 2022: is Casper Ruud taking advantage of the moment?
Casper Ruud played relatively quietly in the quarterfinals at the French Open. However, you should have the Norwegian on your list by now at the latest.

Casper Ruud has hardly been talked about in Paris these days. This is probably not a big problem for the Norwegian, who only enjoys the big public limelight to a limited extent and instead prefers to let deeds speak on the court - and these are more than just impressive!
After taking part in the ATP Finals last season, Ruud immediately followed up on the successes of the previous year and secured the title in both Buenos Aires and Geneva. At the French Open, the 23-year-old qualified for a Grand Slam quarterfinal for the first time in his career. And this does not have to be the end of the world ranking list for a long time.
Because Ruud ended up in the lower half of the tableau and thus avoided a possible clash with Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev or Carlos Alcaraz before the final. The fact that Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Norwegian's regular quarter-final opponent, is no longer represented in the tournament should also be anything but inconvenient for Ruud.
In the round of the last eight, Ruud will also have a major quarter-final debut in Holger Rune. In the previous three direct duels, the Norwegian has not lost a set. If that doesn't change on Wednesday either, he would have to face Andrey Rublev or Marin Cilic in the semifinals. Also a supposedly feasible task.
