Djokovic initially seemed to have some heat problems on Court Philippe Chatrier. At 5-2 in the first set, the world number one disappeared in the catacombs, but then the 32-year-old dominated against Italian qualifier Salvatore Caruso at will.
After 2:04 hours the Serb fixed the 6: 3, 6: 3 and 6: 2 success. In the round of 16, the industry leader will meet Borna Coric or Jan-Lennard Struff.

Stan Wawrinka is also in the round of 16. The Swiss beat Grigor Dimitrov in three tiebreak sets. Stan the Man played very strong and was able to destroy four of his opponent's set balls in the tiebreak in the third set, which had been canceled on Friday due to darkness.
In the next round, Wawrinka meets Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Greek prevailed against Filip Krajinovic in a two-day game with 7: 5, 6: 3, 6: 7 (5) and 7: 6 (6).
