Jannik Sinner is still hoping to compete at the French Open. On Tuesday, the reigning Australian Open champion, who has recently been struggling with hip problems, traveled to the French capital to prepare for the clay court classic at the Bois de Boulogne.
In recent days, Sinner has been training in his adopted home of Monte Carlo, and on Wednesday he is expected to complete his first session in Paris. Should the 22-year-old decide to take part, he would be seeded second behind Novak Djokovic in the second major of the year.
Alcaraz continues to train with tape
Carlos Alcaraz, another favourite for the title, was apparently fit in time. The Spaniard has been suffering from elbow problems since the tournament in Monte Carlo, but will travel to Paris on Wednesday. The former world number one also wore a tape bandage in his most recent training sessions.
The draw for the French Open will take place on Thursday at 2 p.m. However, according to the rules, injured players can withdraw later.
