Dominic Thiem may no longer be at the French Open after his quarter-final defeat against Diego Schwartzman on Tuesday - but an Austrian can still hope for an individual title: Lukas Neumayer is in the last eight among the juniors made. And how: Neumayer, who also took part in the Generali Austrian Pro Series in the summer, won against the Serb Hamad Medjdovic 6: 1 and 6: 3. In the previous round, Medjedovic had defeated the French Harold Mayot, who was in first place.
In the quarter-finals, Neumayer will now play against the Swiss Dominic Stephan Stricker, who entered the tournament in Roland Garros as number seven.
