The quarter-final duel between Austrian Filip Misolic and Serbian Dusan Lajovic at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel, scheduled for Thursday, falls victim to the rain for the time being: Since the weather forecast for the rest of the evening was too bad, the game was scheduled for Friday, 11:00 a.m. local time , postponed.
However, the forecasts for Friday are not too promising either, at the latest by noon there is a risk of rain again in the chamois city. Should Misolic prevail against Lajovic, the possible semi-final duel against Yannick Hanfmann (third match after 11:00 a.m.) could become another test of patience.
Thiem is subject to Hanfmann
The German prevailed against Dominic Thiem on Thursday in a game that was also affected by the rain . The 2020 US Open champion had to deal with a small setback after reaching the semi-finals in Gstaad.
The first semi-final duel on Friday (not before 1:00 p.m.) will be contested by the two Spaniards Roberto Bautista Agut and Albert Ramos-Vinolas. The path to the semi-finals, however, could hardly have been more different .
