Roberto Bautista Agut not only cuts a fine figure on the clay court, but also on his beloved Lipizzaners. In terms of sport, the Spaniard can still be a little patient at the Generali Open 2021.

Against the imposing backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser, the number two of the tournament, Roberto Bautista Agut, is currently preparing for the Generali Open Kitzbühel at the Stanglwirt. It is the first appearance of the nine-time tournament winner and Davis Cup champion at the Generali Open, after he came to Kitzbühel for the first time last year for the Thiem's 7 invitation tournament and immediately fell in love with the city and the surrounding area.

In 2021 he also brought his wife Ana and son Roberto (ten months) with him and used the time before his first assignment on sand to prepare in his very special way for the Generali Open Kitzbühel: Bautista Agut is a big horse lover, owns eight horses and was accordingly taken with his ride on a Lipizzaner in front of the impressive backdrop of the Wilder Kaiser. Number two in the tournament has big plans for Kitzbühel: “I didn't have a good week in Gstaad, but that's the way it is in tennis. You can't always have a good week, but I feel great and will show that on Wednesday in Kitzbühel!

Bautista Agut is on position 16 in the current ATP world rankings, and so far he has won nine titles on the ATP tour. So in Kitzbühel there is the possibility of going into double digits. The main competitor will probably be Casper Ruud. The Norwegian travels to Kitzbühel with successive tournament victories in Bastad and Gstaad.
