"Even in 10 or 20 years it will be a special place for us," said Krawietz after the double's 6: 2, 6: 3 opener win against Alexander Bublik and Michail Kukuschkin (Kazakhstan).

"Whether we go to the gym or to eat - we always remember the little things that give us energy," said Krawietz: "It's wonderful to be back."

The duo from Coburg and Cologne don't want to let the pressure get too close to them during the mission to defend their title. "Before the first round we said that we wanted to go into the matches with the same attitude that brought us so far last year," said Mies. It is important to have a desire to win and not be afraid of losing.

In the second round, the "KraMies" will meet Federico Coria / Diego Schwartzman (Argentina). "We can serve a little better, we can do everything a little better," said Mies.
