Who is playing at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2022?
Sensational nine players from the top ten! As there were: Iga Swiatek , Barbora Krejcikova , Paula Badosa , Aryna Sabalenka , Maria Sakkari , Anett Kontaveit , Karolina Pliskova , Danielle Collins and Ons Jabeur . Only Garbine Muguruza is missing (she has a shoulder injury).
Also there are US Open winner Emma Raducanu and US hopeful Coco Gauff .
Bianca Andreescu will also make her comeback: The Canadian has not yet played a tournament in 2022 due to injury and is in Stuttgart for the first time.

The two-time winner Angelique Kerber , of course - she won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in 2015 and 2016. Also via wildcard Laura Siegemund (winner in 2017) and Jule Niemeier .
Tamara Korpatsch and, also thanks to wildcards, Nastasja Schunk and Eva Lys are also in the qualification.
Who is the defending champion?
Ashleigh Barty - she won the 2021 final against Aryna Sabalenka. However, the Australian is missing, she surprisingly announced her retirement from tennis a few weeks ago.

This is Martina Navratilova. The "grande dame of tennis" won six times (1982, 1983, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1992), then still in Filderstadt. From a German point of view, Anke Huber has won two titles (1991, 1994). Julia Görges (2011), Angie Kerber (2015, 2016) and Laura Siegemund (2017) also won.
