Together with the French Fabrice Martin, the 31-year-old prevailed at the Masters in Paris against the two years younger Krawietz and his Romanian partner Horia Tecau 6: 3, 6: 3 and reached the quarter-finals.
Mies and Krawietz won the French Open together in 2019 and 2020. At the beginning of this year, Mies from Cologne had to undergo cartilage surgery on his knee, which resulted in a long break. Currently, the Coburg Krawietz with Tecau still has the chance to participate in the ATP Finals of the eight best teams of the season.
In the coming year, the "KraMies" want to compete in tournaments together again.
