Garbine Muguruza and Barbora Krejcikova clashed in their round of 16 duel at the US Open 2021. Even days later, the Czech doesn't seem to have gotten over it.

Garbine Muguruza accused her opponent Barbora Krejcikova of the last 16 in one of the most memorable handshakes at this US Open with the accusation of being "not very athletic". What happened? The first set was clearly going to the Czech, in the second the game was open for a long time. In a hard-fought second round, Krejcikova took a medical time-out at the end of the set, minutes later the French Open sensation winner had won the duel.
Much to the displeasure of Muguruza, who repeatedly questioned the necessity of the medical break. This in turn was not well received by Krejcikova, who complained days later - after her quarter-final defeat against Aryna Sabalenka - because of the allegations. "It was difficult. Krejcikova feels humiliated
