"It's just a minor injury, I think I can play without any problems," said the 26-year-old Olympic champion, looking ahead to the June 19-25 tournament. He arrived on Wednesday evening.
"I love playing in Germany and the atmosphere in Halle is always fantastic," said Zverev, who recently canceled his participation in the tournament in Stuttgart. Previously, he suffered the injury in the semifinals of the French Open against Norwegian Casper Ruud, which Zverev lost in three sets.
Zverev is also preparing for Wimbledon in Halle. The highlight of the grass season takes place in London from July 3rd to 16th.
