A strong winning streak for Sebastian Baez (Argentina) came to an end today at the US Open 2023. After winning the tournament in Kitzbühel and Winston-Salem, the South American, who has only been a professional for five years, had to bow to the Russian Daniil Medvedev in the third round of the last Grand Slam tournament of the year and lost 2:6 after 2:40 hours. 2:6, 6:7 (6).
The Muscovite, seeded third in Flushing Meadows, now has to deal with the Australian Alex de Minaur, who in turn gave the Chilean Nicolas Jarry no chance with a 6:1, 6:3, 6:2 win.
