Wozniacki only celebrated her comeback on the tour at the beginning of August after more than three and a half years of competition break, she had taken a break to start a family. In Flushing Meadows, where she was in the final in 2009 and 2014, she will face world number eleven Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic in the second round.
