Wimbledon 2022: Schunk and Petkovic failed in round one
Nastasja Schunk and Andrea Petkovic failed in the first round of the 2022 Wimbledon tournament. Schunk lost to Mikhaela Buzarnescu in two sets, as did Petkovic to Viktotija Golubic.

The two German representatives almost played back to back, Schunk on court 4, Petkovic on 8. The results were similarly disappointing: Schunk lost to Buzarnescu 4:6 and 2:6, Petkovic lost to Golubic 4:6 and 3: 6.
On Monday, Angelique Kerber and Jule Niemeier confidently made it into the second round. Tamara Korpasch continues her interrupted game against Heather Watson on Court 1 on Tuesday afternoon.
