Kecmanovic defeated a top 10 player for the first time in his career.

"It was a great match today. I'm very happy with the win. His weakness on serve helped me a lot. I tried to stay calm. I worked a lot on myself off the pitch and I'm happy that it is now paying off does, "Kecmanovic told Sky .

The 22-year-old Zverev sometimes showed better approaches against the three-year-old Kecmanovic than in the previous week in Montreal (out in the quarter-finals), but left a lot less than two weeks before the start in Flushing Meadows (August 26 to September 8) too many chances and eventually lost almost consequently.

The second serve in particular remains a huge problem - Zverev made 20 double faults with nine aces and gave up his service six times. After 2:18 hours was the loss of the winner of the ATP finals against the world ranking 58. sealed.

He remains without a single match win in Cincinnati. So far, he has not had a single success in four matches.

In the lower half of the tournament grid, after the departure of Kei Nishikori and the cancellation of Dominic Thiem, there are no longer any top 10 players after the second round.
