Carlos Alcaraz made his first set on the third day of the group matches at the #NextGen Finals in Milan. But that has purely cosmetic consequences. With the 4: 0, 4: 1, 2: 4 and 4: 3 (3) against Juan Manuel Cerundolo, the Spaniard kept his clean slate. It was already clear after the two victories against Brandon Nakashima and Holger Rune that Alcaraz would play in the semi-finals on Friday.

Nakashima, in turn, made it into the semifinals on Thursday with a 3: 4 (3), 4: 1, 4: 1 and 4: 3 (1) against Rune. After winning the first set, Rune finally had to pay tribute to his high gaming volume. The Dane won an ATP Challenger tournament in Bergamo on Sunday.

In Group B Sebastian Korda has two wins, Sebastian Baez and local hero Lorenzo Musetti one each, Hugo Gaston is still waiting for the first sense of achievement. The Frenchman will open the night session against Baez, after which Korda will play against Musetti.
