Alexander Zverev has so far convinced in Acapulco: Three two-set wins over Alexei Popyrin, David Ferrer and Alex de Minaur were a clear announcement, especially against de Minaur, Zverev convinced with great aggressiveness.
Last year in Acapulco against Juan Martin del Potro in the semifinals ended, the Argentine unnerved the slightly battered Zverev with the backhand slice - this time the 21-year-old wants to reach the final.
On the way there is Briton Cameron Norrie, who beat Diego Schwartzman among others this week.
It is the first encounter between Zverev and Norrie, who is currently ranked 64th in the ATP ranking. He had reached his previous career high with rank 62 two weeks ago.
