Novak Djokovic made it into the final of the Adelaide ATP 250 tournament thanks to a convincing performance. The 21-time Grand Slam winner defeated Daniil Medvedev 6: 3 and 6: 4 in the semi-finals and was thus 9: 4 head to head with the 2021 US Open winner.
Especially with his own serve, Djokovic presented himself almost untouchable. The long-standing world number one didn't suffer a single break in the entire match - even though he had to undergo treatment on his left leg in the first set.
Djokovic shows best performance of the season
However, Djokovic did not seem to be affected by the problems in the long term, as he showed his best performance of the season so far in his fourth match. After 90 minutes of play, the 35-year-old turned his first match point into a 6:3 and 6:4 win.
Djokovic meets Sebastian Korda in the final on Sunday. The American benefited in the first semi-final of the day with a score of 7: 6 (5) and 1: 0 from a surrender by his opponent Yoshihito Nishioka.
