The nominees for the ATP Awards 2021 were announced on Wednesday: Thanasi Kokkinakis, Mackenzie McDonald, Andy Murray and Jack Sock are available in the "Comeback Player of the Year" category. According to ATP, "a player who has overcome a serious injury and then re-established himself as one of the best players on the tour" should be chosen.

The "most improved player" will come from the quartet Aslan Karatsev, Cameron Norrie, Casper Ruud and Carlos Alcaraz. The 18-year-old Spaniard was in the previous year was awarded "Newcomer of the Year" as, not in this category because of his previous victory but more to choose from. Sebastian Baez, Jenson Brooksby, Juan Manuel Cerundolo, Hugo Gaston and Brandon Nakashima will succeed Alcaraz.

However, Rafael Nadal could defend his title. The 20-time Grand Slam winner is one of the nominees in the "Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award" category alongside Felix Auger-Aliassime, Casper Ruud and Frances Tiafoe. The 35-year-old had already won the fair play prize in 2010, 2018 and 2019.

Federer fan favorite again?

Craig Boynton (Hubert Hurkacz), Gilles Cervara (Daniil Medvedev), Juan Carlos Ferrero (Carlos Alcaraz), Facundo Lugones (Cameron Norrie) and Christian Ruud (Casper Ruud) could be named Trainer of the Year.

The price of the fan favorite is also up for grabs again. The big favorite is again Roger Federer, who won his 18th victory in a row last year. You can vote for your favorite player and your preferred double pairing here until December 7th.
