Who will start in Barcelona - how is the draw?
Rafael Nadal of course! Rafa is the record winner in Barca with eleven triumphs, the last one he won in 2018. Nadal has a bye at the start, he then meets a qualifier or a lucky loser.
Second is Stefanos Tsitsipas, who last impressed in Monte Carlo. He meets Jaume Munar or Thiago Monteiro. Also there: Andrey Rublev, Diego Schwartzman, Roberto Bautista Agut, Pablo Carreno Busta, Denis Shapovalov - and Jannik Sinner is also at the start!
Not there: Dominic Thiem . He had actually reported at the parallel tournament in Belgrade, but withdrew there. Alexander Zverev is also not there.

This is Dominic Thiem: He won the 2019 final against Daniil Medvedev 6: 4, 6: 0 - on the way there he had beaten Nadal in the semifinals.
In 2020 the tournament in Barcelona was canceled due to the corona pandemic.
How much prize money is there to be won?
1.57 million euros will be distributed in Barcelona! The winner receives 178,985 euros, the finalist 111,600 euros. For an exit in round 1, there are at least 8,700 euros.
