It's already the third week that Tyrolean Alex Erler is spending in India. This stay began with the start at the ATP 250 event in Pune, where it was enough for Jiri Vesely to reach the quarterfinals. Last week, Erler served alongside Vit Kopriva at the Bangaluru Challenger event and reached the semifinals there.
And now, at the second tournament in Bangaluru, the Tyrolean pulled off the big coup: having started the race with the top seed, the Tyrolean triumphed alongside Arjun Khade in pair skating. The Austro-Indian duo won three matches in a row on the way to the title in the champions tiebreak played instead of the third set. Most recently in the final, Erler and Khade won against the Indian duo Saketh Myneni/Ramkumar Ramanathan 6:3, 6:7 and 10:7.
