Antalya - vacation paradise on the Turkish Riviera. The warm climate enables outdoor tennis tournaments to be held even in December or January. On the other hand, there is of course no guarantee of perfect weather anywhere in the world - the proximity to the Mediterranean ensures warm breezes, but from one minute to the next there can be violent gusts of wind.
This is what happened last week at the first-round encounter at the ATP Challenger event between the Hungarian Fabian Maroszan and the South Korean Duckhee Lee. At the score of 5: 4 and debut from the Asian's point of view, Maroszan hits a failed forehand only with the frame - both players think the rally is over.
However, the yellow felt ball, carried by a violent gust, circles around the side just over the net to the other side of the field and then jumps out of the playable area of the tennis facility, out of reach for Lee. The Hungarian won the point, but the match was interrupted afterwards. After the resumption, the former world number 120 won. Lee safely played the game 6: 4, 6: 1.
