Jurij Rodionov narrowly missed out on reaching the final of the ATP Challenger tournament in Madrid. The Austrian Davis Cup player lost to Leandro Riedi 6:4, 3:6 and 6:7 (3). The Swiss will face the Italian Stefano Napolitano in the final tomorrow.
Rodionov will continue his campaign next week in Munich. There, the left-hander will face Australian Aleksander Vukic in the first round. If Rodionov overcomes this hurdle, tournament favorite Alexander Zverev will be waiting in the round of 16.
