At the side of his brother Mischa, the German top player lost his opening match in doubles at the tennis tournament in Cologne. The Zverevs lost in the match tie-break Raven Klaasen / Oliver Marach (South Africa / Austria) with 6:10, before it was 6: 2, 4: 6.
In the individual, Zverev is in first position in the cathedral city and starts the tournament after a bye on Thursday against Fernando Verdasco (Spain) or the three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray (Great Britain). Mischa Zverev had reached the second round on Monday after a 6: 1, 6: 4 against John Millman.
