ATP Cup: Poland first team in the semifinals after defeating Argentina
While Poland was able to keep itself harmless in the group stage at the ATP Cup, the Chileans surprise again against Norway.

Poland is in the semifinals of the ATP Cup after a clear 3-0 win against Argentina. First, Kamil Majchrzak defeated South American Federico Delbonis, South American number two, who was significantly better placed in the ATP ranking, 6: 3, 7: 6 (3), then Hubert Hurkacz also held out in a clear 6: 1, -6: 4 win against Diego Schwartzman harmless. The Poles only had to give up one set in their individual games in the group stage.
"I'm so happy for our team, for Team Poland. We're in the semifinals, I'm so proud of this performance," said Hurkacz after his game. The current number nine in the ATP rankings clearly only found words of praise about his team-mate: "I'm proud of Kamil. This is the biggest win of his career. Great right at the beginning of the year. He certainly had a great preparation for the Season."
The final doubles went to Szymon Walkow and Jan Zielinski 7: 6 (4), 7: 6 (5) against Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.
No chances for Chile on the semi
Team Chile also surprised on Wednesday against the Norwegians who were hapless at the team competition in Sydney. The strong playing number two of the Chileans Alejandro Tabilo won the victory against Viktor Durasovic with 1: 6, 7: 6 (5), 1: 6. In the duel between the two team leaders, Casper Ruud clearly prevailed 6: 4, 6: 1 against Cristian Garin. Mercelo Tomas Barrios Vera and the aforementioned Tabilo easily won the doubles game 6: 0, 6: 4 against Andreja Petrovic and Leyton Rivera.
However, the dispute between Chile and Norway was no longer relevant for the further course of the ATP Cup. Both teams have no chance of a place in the semifinals. Spain and Serbia make up for each other in the evening game - the Iberians have far better cards.
