Dominic Thiem has been chasing the second match success in the 2023 season for a long time, now it has finally worked: The Lichtenwörther secured a win in the Austrian duel against Sebastian Ofner in the first round of the clay court tournament in Estoril. Thiem won against the Styrian after 2:05 hours of play with 3: 6, 6: 3 and 6: 4.
In the round of 16 of the ATP World Tour 250 tournament on the Portuguese coast, Austria's number one meets the American Ben Shelton, who previously eliminated the Frenchman Constant Lestienne twice 7: 5.
