It took a long time for Félix Auger-Aliassime to win his first title on the ATP tour: At the beginning of this year in Rotterdam the time had finally come. However, the previous burdens were so great that the Canadian went into Sunday's final against Jeffrey John Wolf in Florence with a final score of 1:9. After the 6:4 and 6:4, it has now also improved greatly in percentage terms.

In the end, the victory of Auger-Aliassime was to be expected, after all he started the new 250cc from position one. In the semifinals on Saturday evening, "FAA" also benefited from the fact that Lorenzo Musetti did not go into the match quite fit. In the final against Wolf, however, Auger-Aliassime dominated as usual with serve and forehand.

For the American, reaching the final in Florence was the greatest career triumph. The wolf will also make it into the top 60 in the ATP charts for the first time tomorrow, Monday.

Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin secured the double title. The two French defeated Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek 7:6 (4) and 6:3.
