ATP Halle: Lawn classic will take place in 2021 without spectators
The ATP 500 tournament in Halle / Westphalia will take place in front of empty stands this year.

It is news that comes as little surprise in view of the corona numbers in Germany: The ATP 500 tournament in Halle / Westphalia will have to do without spectators this year. The organizers of the lawn event announced this to all ticket holders on Thursday.
"Since the health of our visitors, players, partners and employees is of course the top priority for us and our tournament name partner, Noventi Health SE, we unfortunately only have the option of holding the tournament without visitors this year Pandemic, it will not be possible for us to hold the Noventi Open in front of an audience again until next year, "the message says.
Federer confirms for 2022
For the coming year, the tickets purchased would of course remain valid for the day of the week purchased. And it might be worthwhile not to return the cards. Because with Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori two tennis superstars have already agreed for the coming year.
The Swiss and the Japanese will compete in Halle / Westphalia again this year. The two will get company from Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Roberto Bautista Agut, David Goffin and Karen Khachanov, among others. The starting shot for the event will be given on June 14th.
