Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler had a tough job to do in 1 hour 48 minutes of play. The Austrian duo only just managed to win the first set 7:5. In the second set, the pendulum swung in favor of the team from India and France, who managed to steal a break from Erler Miedler.
The match tiebreak had to decide the outcome. Neither of the two doubles teams was able to gain a decisive lead until the score was 6:6. But then the second seed in the tournament took advantage to make it 9:6 and thus successfully end the match.
Erler/Miedler can win sixth title
In the final, Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler will face the Finn Harri Heliövaara and the Brit Cash Patten, who are ranked fourth in the tournament seeding list. For Erler/Miedler, a win in the final on Saturday would mean their sixth title on the ATP Tour.
