Tim Pütz lost the doubles final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati alongside Michael Venus . The two were beaten in two tight sets by Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury .

No happy ending for Tim Pütz and Michael Venus at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Cincinnati: The German and the New Zealander lost the final against the top seeded Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury 6: 7 (4) and 6: 7 (5) .
Pütz missed the second 1000cc title of his career. He had gotten the first one last year alongside Venus in Paris-Bercy. Despite the final defeat in Cincinnati, the two should travel to the US Open in New York full of self-confidence.
