A small yellow felt ball caused a lot of chaos at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Montreal

A bizarre tennis drama happened during the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Montreal. A tennis ball caused a lot of trouble on outdoor courts five and nine on the Wednesday of the second round of the last game week.

During the double encounter between Santiago Gonzalez / Andres Molteni against Juan Sebastian Cabal / Robert Farah on court 5, the ball is smashed into the middle of the opposing field with full force at one point and flies with a lot of steam to the neighboring court number 9 - in the middle a rally between Diego Schwartzman and Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

A hilarious back and forth

The point is of course interrupted and repeated - but before that the Spaniard sends the ball back to the sender, i.e. on Court 5, where the same in turn disrupts a rally in the ongoing doubles. In apparent confusion, the ball is added to the adjacent court and pushed back to court 9, where a visibly annoyed Ramos-Vinolas breaks off shortly before the service.

This time, however, the referee of the individual encounter allows himself to be given the ball. How the story of the little yellow felt rascal went on is not documented.

Here's the hilarious recap of the events:
