Successful start for Daniil Medvedev at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome. The defending champion from Russia won the second round against Briton Jack Draper with a clear 7:5 and 6:4.

Medvedev, who recently injured his thigh in Madrid, will face Hamad Medjedovic in the third round. The Serbian qualifier beat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in two sets.
In addition, Alex de Minaur was able to celebrate a 6:3 and 6:2 victory against Roberto Carballes Baena in the lower half on Saturday.
