Which players will start in Monte Carlo?
Almost all the major players - there are only two major gaps. Novak Djokovic is finally back after not being able to play in Indian Wells and Miami because he was not allowed to enter the country as an unvaccinated person. And then: Alexander Zverev , Stefanos Tsitsipas , Andrey Rublev , Casper Ruud , Felix Auger-Aliassime ... and of course the man of the hour, Carlos Alcaraz .
Who is out - and is playing Dominic Thiem in Monte Carlo?
Daniil Medvedev , who will probably miss the entire clay court season, canceled due to injury. And record winner Rafael Nadal after breaking his ribs.Matteo Berrettini will also be out after his minor hand surgery.
Dominic Thiem has withdrawn his entry for Monte Carlo. Thiem actually had Monte Carlo in the plan, but was recently ill with Corona .
Who is the defending champion?
This is Stefanos Tsitsipas: The Greek saw Andrey Rublev in 2021 and was in great sand form - it almost even was enough for the first Grand Slam title at the French Open. There "Tsitsi" was defeated by Novak Djokovic after a 2-0 set lead.
Who is record winner in Monte Carlo?
Rafael Nadal, of course. Rafa has won the tournament a crazy eleven times (!), most recently in 2018 in the final against Kei Nishikori.
How much prize money is there?
A total of 5.4 million euros will be paid out at the Monte Carlo Masters.
Where is Monte Carlo broadcast on TV and live stream?
Of course on Sky! Both on TV and via stream, the colleagues will be there for you live from April 10th.
