ATP Munich: Defending champion Holger Rune first finalist

Holger Rune is only missing one win to successfully defend his title at the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Munich. The Dane defeated Christopher O'Connell 6:3 and 6:4 and will either play against Taylor Fritz tomorrow or, like last year, against Botic van de Zandschulp.

Holger Rune is about to win his second title in a row in Munich

At the very end of the first semifinals at the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Munich, Holger Rune seemed to lose his concentration again for a moment: the defending champion hit the match at 5: 2 in the second set. And had to fend off four break balls from Christopher O'Connell. After 78 minutes of play, the score was 6:3 and 6:2.

In tomorrow's final, Rune, who is seeded number one in Munich, will face either Taylor Fritz, number two, or Botic van de Zandschulp. The Dutchman was Holger Rune's opponent in the final last year, but had to give up injured in the first set.
