ATP NextGen Finals: Carlos Alcaraz triumphs in Milan

He started as the top-seeded player and should also live up to his role as a favorite at the end of the day: Thanks to a 4: 3 (5), 4: 2 and 4: 2 success over Sebastian Korda, 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz secured the title in the # NextGen Finals in Milan.

After a tight first set, in which neither player managed to break, Alcaraz struck for the first time in the second set when the score was 2-2. After that, the world number 32. no problems when serving. In the third section, the Iberian took the service from Korda, who was seeded in second position, in the third game - the preliminary decision.

Because Alcaraz did not have any problems with his own service and after only 82 minutes of playing time he converted his third match point to a 4: 3 (5), 4: 2 and 4: 2 victory with a smash winner.

Alcaraz thus crowned an outstanding week in Milan: The 18-year-old only gave a single set in five matches and became the successor to Jannik Sinner, who decided the unofficial U-21 World Cup two years ago.
