No breather for Carlos Alcaraz, who will serve at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel this week after his convincing (and first) tournament victory on the ATP tour in Umag. After all, the 18-year-old Spaniard can look forward to a new career high in the ATP world rankings on the trip from Croatia to Tyrol in addition to the massive trophy. Because the current charts show Alcaraz at position 55. This means that Juan Carlos Ferrero's protégé improved by 18 ranks.
Cameron Norrie's victory in Los Cabos had less of an impact: The Briton only overtook Stan Wawrinka and is currently in 29th place Make ATP.
At the absolute top of the world there were of course no postponements, especially since no top ten players were in action last week. Novak Djokovic , the only one who has already qualified for Turin, leads the world rankings ahead of Daniil Medvedev and Rafael Nadal . Alexander Zverevis tied with Dominic Thiem, who is still paused, in fifth place. After this week, however, the Austrian lost the 250 points he won in Kitzbühel in 2019.
