In addition to Novak Djokovic, who was not allowed to enter the USA because of his vaccination status, there is still a big one missing in the Big Apple: Roger Federer. The Swiss suffered for a long time from the aftermath of his knee operation last autumn, but with the Laver Cup in September and the appearance at the home tournament in Basel he still has two tennis fixed points on his list this year. The physical and mental condition after the team competition in London will probably tell whether there are more to come.
However, the 20-time major winner should not show any symptoms of stress, as the likeable Swiss is deliberately relaxed on his Instagram account. In addition to spending time at the gym and attending media events, "King Roger" is obviously enjoying the beautiful time of the year with his family and his dog, Willow.
The newcomer to Federer only joined three months ago. The "Maestro" greeted the Australian Cobberdog on Instagram at the time with the words: "We gave in... But we couldn't be happier. Welcome to the family, Willow." And the current snapshots show that master and puppy really are best buddies.
