Wer gewinnt? Tippt jetzt!

Aslan Karatsev failed in the early afternoon at Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands, the Russian was unable to use 2 match points and then lost the tiebreak of the decisive set 0:7. Surprising, because quite a few already had him on the list as a possible tournament favorite.

Karatsev's compatriot Karen Khachanov , number 28 in the world rankings, did better. He also defeated the young Australian Alexei Popyrin after a very hard fight 6:7, 6:1 and 7:6. In the round of 16, he now meets British Cameron Norrie, who clearly defeated Ugo Humbert from France yesterday in two sets.

Rublev sovereign, Shapovalov surprisingly out

Andrey Rublev, the third man from the country of the Davis Cup winner, on the other hand, did his job a lot more confidently against the Swiss Henri Laaksonen with 6:4 and 6:4. The defending champion, seeded No. 2 in Rotterdam, is looking to redeem himself for the disappointing Australian Open with a good performance in Holland and gain ground in the world rankings on Berrettini, who pushed him down to seventh after the semifinals Down Under.

The biggest surprise, however, came from the man from the Czech Republic, Jiri Lehecka, who sent Denis Shapovalov home 6-4 and 6-4. After all, the Canadian was a quarter-finalist in Australia and only lost there in five sets to eventual winner Rafael Nadal. Lorenzo Musetti's win over Mikael Ymer in three sets gave him a duel with Poland's Hurkacz in the next round.

Will the Bublik series continue?

Montpellier winner Alexander Bublik will enter the tournament tomorrow, Wednesday. One can be very excited about his match against Andy Murray from Scotland. In any case, only one thing is certain with Bublik, and that is that nothing is certain. Can he carry the momentum from his first tournament win and continue to do so, or can Murray pick up an important win on his way back?
