ATP Santiago: Dominic Thiem loses to Cristian Garin
Dominic Thiem was eliminated in the first round of the ATP Tour 250 tournament in Santiago. The Austrian lost to Cristian Garin 2:6 and 6:7 (2).

Dominic Thiem was also denied the big breakthrough in Santiago in 2023. Like last week in Rio de Janeiro, Austria's number one had to play against a local hero in the Chilean capital. And lost to Cristian Garin 2:6 and 6:7 (2). The win against Alex Molcan in Buenos Aires remains the only countable success of the clay court tour through South America.
