Many tennis stars support the good cause: while Dominic Thiem, for example, takes care of the preservation of bees and supports Greenpeace, Roger Federer supports the construction of schools and educational institutions in South Africa with his foundation. Rafael Nadal also provides education and healthy exercise for children from Spain and India who have not fallen on the butter side of life.

"Always wanted to do more to help them"

Denis Shapovalov is new to the ranks of charitable communities. The Canadian announced on Twitter earlier this week that he had founded the "ShapoShelter" association. The aim should be to support animal shelters worldwide in order to give two-, four- or even more-legged friends the care and peace that many of them have never received in their lives.

"I have a great love for animals and over the years I've heard so many terrible stories about animals that were so helpless and I've always wanted to do more to help them," said the current world number 15. know via Twitter. "We want to give these animals and their stories a stage so that they can tell them themselves and find a new home." We think: A great idea. Well done Shapo!
