The professional partnership has come to an end, the mutual friendship will last for a lifetime. This is roughly how Stan Wawrinka put it on Instagram in the post in which he announced the end of his cooperation with Magnus Norman. Together they won three major titles: the Australian Open 2014, the French Open 2015 and the US Open 2016.
Wawrinka skipped the US Open, but won the first of the two ATP Challenger tournaments in Prague. At the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Rome the end for the Swiss came in round one against the young Italian Lorenzo Musetti.
