Great success for Andy Murray : The three-time Grand Slam winner prevailed in the second round of the ATP 250 tournament in Stockholm against world number ten Jannik Sinner with 7: 6 (4) and 6: 4 and thus qualified for the Quarter finals.

In the opening sentence, neither of the two actors realized a break, consequently it went into a tiebreak. In this, Murray secured the last four points and thus also the win of the first round.

In the second section, Murray took the serve to make it 2-1 from his opponent, who was 14 years younger than him. The two-time Olympic champion could not take this break - on the contrary: After 2:15 hours of play, Murray converted his first match point to a 7: 6 (4) and 6: 3 success when Sinner served. The 34-year-old now meets Tommy Paul, who beat his compatriot Taylor Fritz 6: 4 and 6: 4.

With Frances Tiafoe, another American made it to the quarter-finals. The 23-year-old defeated Pedro Martinez in straight sets and now faces Dan Evans, who defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 7: 6 (5) and 6: 2. Denis Shapovalov is also in the round of the last eight after a 7: 6 (1) and 6.1 victory over Andrea Vavassori. There the Canadian meets Arthur Rinderknech.
