Carlos Alcaraz adorns the construction site cladding of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona

It was a one-two punch: Carlos Alcaraz, 19-year-old tennis superstar, not only won his first Grand Slam title by triumphing at the US Open last Sunday, but also climbed the 2000 world ranking points the top spot in the ATP charts.

The current hype about the young man from Murcia is completely justified, as there hasn't been a tennis fairy tale as degenerate as that of the Spaniard for a long time. The former world number one and Alcaraz' coach Juan Carlos Ferrero not only did everything right in terms of tennis, "Carlitos" also seems extremely down-to-earth and likeable in character.

Perfect advertising coup by "Nike"

Alcaraz is a real pearl for any company that can conclude a sponsorship contract with the teenager - for example for the sports goods manufacturer "Nike", which is allowed to act as the main outfitter of the neo number one.

The potent group has now landed a real coup in the Catalan capital Barcelona. The Sagrada Familia basilica, designed by master builder Antoni Gaudi, is not only one of the most impressive architectural monuments in the world, but also possibly the most famous permanent construction site in Europe - the monumental work has been under construction since 1882.

And currently this Sagrada Familia is partially covered with an impressive advertising poster of capital size, which has the cheering Alcaraz at the US Open as its theme. And this is possibly just the beginning of a career that is still difficult to assess.
