Little was played in 2020. At least to some extent on hard court, not at all on grass. And so much on sand.
After all, the South America Swing took a few clay court diggers with them before the Corona break. The majority of the top people, however, only started in Kitzbühel, Rome and Hamburg before they met for the French Open.
But who has spent the few sandpatz appearances most successfully? If you go by the most important title - and the most convincing appearance, then Rafael Nadal : Although he still needed some time to start in Rome and had to admit defeat to Diego Schwartzman, Rafa rushed to the title in Paris without losing a set. And brought clay court tennis - or tennis in general? - in the final against Novak Djokovic to the point . At least he can comfort himself with the fact that he was statistically the best man on the sand in 2020.
